FREQUENTLY ASKED

FUNERAL
QUESTIONS

Why choose an independent celebrant?

By choosing to have your ceremony officiated by an independent celebrant you will have the freedom to arrange a heartfelt and personalised celebration of life.

The ceremony can be exactly as you wish it to be, it can include prayers, hymns, readings and quotes to celebrate the life of your loved one.

We can conduct your ceremony at any chapel or crematorium and work with your funeral director to make all of the arrangements for the service.

Why choose us?

We have a large amount of experience of conducting ceremonies and have conducted over 1,000 ceremonies!  That level of experience means we are able to handle all of your requirements.  We have a competitive, no hidden extras, price structure and there are no hidden costs.

We have a team of celebrants who we can call upon on in an unlikely emergency thus eliminating any risk to the service.  We are also members of the Association of Independent Celebrants and we have Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances in the sum of £5,000,000.

If you decide to choose Embrace the Day as your celebrant you will be on the path to creating a truly meaningful and significant ceremony to celebrate your loved one.

Can I have religious references as part of the ceremony?

Yes! In all of our ceremonies you can have any religious elements including prayers, hymns, readings and poems.

What is the process?

Call us and we can have an informal chat about your loved one.  As soon as you have your funeral date booked we can then meet up for an informal chat to get a better idea of the type of ceremony you have in mind.  This can be done face to face, over the telephone or via Zoom if you would prefer.

You will then have access to a full range of material including hymns, readings, and poems in order to ensure that we capture all of your wishes.

We will then start to personally craft your bespoke ceremony for your consideration.  All ceremony scripts must be approved and finalised prior to the day of the service.

Once approved, we are available to discuss any concerns you may have in the lead up to the service.  On the day of the service we will be available prior to the ceremony to relieve any last minute worries.  Once the ceremony has been carefully concluded we will be available for a short while to assist in any way we can.  We shall then slip away so that we are not intruding.

I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream
